The treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease mainly includes symptomatic treatment. For mild cases, rest, plenty of fluids, and a soft diet are recommended. If there is a fever, antipyretics can be taken. Mouth sores can be relieved by gargling with warm saline or using topical medications. In severe cases, hospitalization may be required. Intravenous fluids may be given to prevent dehydration. Doctors may also monitor and treat any complications that arise. ????
